PAAR Octoberfest Coming Soon

Attention All Brewers ! The Port Angeles Association of Realtors Octoberfest is coming up Friday, the 14th of October. This event is a major fundraiser for three different charities in the Port Angeles/Sequim area.

All of the proceeds go to the following charities:

Self Help Housing of Clallam County www.hacc_housing.org

Salvation Army Food Kitchen

Scholarships for Graduating Seniors from Port Angeles and Sequim High Schools

This event will take place, as last year, at the Clallam County Fairgrounds. The event starts at 5:30 and will go until all items are auctioned off.

Last year four NOBG brewers donated 9 different beers to the fund raising effort. This year we are hoping for even more participation from our members. We welcome all brewers to bring some hombrew and share it with the crowd. As we did last year there will be a peoples choice vote for the best beer with certificates awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

All brewers and a guest will be provided with dinner and dessert.

All the NOBG members in attendance had a great time as well as going home with some great auction items and all the money raised is for worthy causes.

We will be setting up the night before the event anytime after about 4:00 or so and there will also be an opportunity to set up early the night of the event.

I am personally asking that any members who are able to, please help us to raise funds for some great causes and help get the NOBG name out in the community. This event is also a great venue for showcasing your brewing skills. Please join us for a great evening of fun and food and great homebrew as well as some great auction items.

The August meeting of the NOBG will be held August 20 at 7pm. NOBG president Keith Barnett will be hosting at his home in Sequim, 231 Madrona Terrace Please Join us.

July Meeting

Hey folks -

The July meeting of the NOBG will be July 16th, 6-8pm at Clallam County's newest production brewery. (in fact, they are not even brewing yet!!!) Ed and Wanda Smith of Peaks pub are opening "Twin Peaks Brewing and Malting Company" out by the airport in Port Angeles. It's on the corner of 19th and "O" street. Head out to the PA transfer station, and turn south on "O" street. The brewery staff should be around to show us their new pride and joy. Bring a lawn chair if you want to sit down. Twin Peaks is still under construction, although they may be brewing some test batches on the 16th.

Peaks has been a supporter of our club from the begining, lets get everyone out there to show Ed, Wanda and the crew our appreciation.
