North Olympic Brewers In The News

The North Olympic Brewers Guild recieved it's first press in the December 31st Sequim This Week. Although the article missed the group's name and website (go figure), it's still a great article that talks about the benefits of connecting with other brewers across the Peninsula.

You can pick up a copy of Sequim This Week to check out the article at these locations.

Supply Run!

Here is a recent message from one of our members:

Hi folks -

I'm thinking of making a supply run to Larry's this weekend. If we can get enough folks that need supplies, we can reduce our cost to all. Anyway, if in need of supplies, let me know. I certainly need yeast, and some specialty grains. (been brewing heavy stuff lately).

I think one of the reasons to get us all together is to help keep folks supplied.

Give me a call at 775-1877 or return email........

December Meeting Announcement

The December meeting for the North Olympic Brewers Guild has been scheduled for 2:00pm on Saturday, December 20th at Peak's Brewpub in Port Angeles. Ed Smith, the award-winning brewmaster and owner of Peak's Pub, has been a longstanding supporter of organizing homebrewers on the Olympic Peninsula and is looking forward to hosting the December gathering.

The North Olympic Brewers Guild would like to invite all homebrewers, brewmasters and beer enthusiasts to come to this special December meeting. Be sure to bring a friend, and a sample of your favorite homebrew. Peak's will also have a variety of regional microbrews on tap.

Cheers!

Welcome to the North Olympic Brewers Guild

The inaugural meeting of the North Olympic Brewers Guild was a success! A variety of homebrewers and beer enthusiasts turned out to share ideas and interact. Extra thanks go to Mic Sager for hosting our first event.

Mic not only played host, but let the group sample some of his handiwork. He also showed off his 10-gallon all-grain brewing system, and gave us all a quick lesson in mash brewing.

The group handled some important business by voting on a name and discussing the frequency and general format of meetings to come. Our next meeting is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, December 20th. Location TBD. Further details will be shared soon, including a meeting agenda.

Our website will continue to be updated, so check back here often for more information.

Cheers!
